Phalli aloo


Ingredients:
  • Green Beans - 200gm
  • Aloo-2 medium
  • Jeera-1 tsp
  • Chili powder- 1 tbsp
  • Salt - 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric- 1 /2 tsp
  • Onion-1 chopped
  • Tomatoes-2 small
  • Ginger garlic paste-1tbsp
  • Mustard-1tsp
  • urad dal - 1 tsp
  • curry leaves
  • Oil
  • Green chillies-3
  • Lemon juice(optional)

Preparation:
  • Add oil to the pan and heat it.
  • Add mustard,urad dal,curry leaves,jeera and allow to splutter.
  • add green chillies(chopped) and saute.
  • Add onion,potato and saute for 2 mins until the onion turns golden brown.
  • Then saute ginger garlic paste along with it.
  • Add tomatoes(diced) and allow the raw smell to leave.Add little water if desired.
  • Then add the beans and the chili powder, turmeric and salt.
  • Close with a lid and leave it for 4 mins.
  • Add lemon juice if desired once the beans is cooked and stir.
  • Serve hot with roti.
